Bower Reed Heaster

Funeral services will be 12 PM Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel for Bower Reed Heaster, formerly of Warren, who passed away Friday afternoon at Sycamore Run Nursing Home. Bower was born February 19, 1926 in Mapleton, PA a son of the late Joseph R. and Hazel L. (Chilcote) Heaster. A United States Army Veteran of World War II, he retired in 1986 after 28 years of service as a boiler maker for LTV, formerly Republic Steel. In his free time, Bower enjoyed hunting and fishing. His wife the former Janet Eileen Pope, whom he married in November 1953, passed away January 30, 1997. Bower is survived by two daughters: Paula (Garry) Glass of Niles and Leigh Ann (Charles) Ellison of Cuyahoga Falls; one brother Fred L. Heaster of Exmore, VA, and five grandchildren: Jason Glass, Melissa Glass, Dan Ellison, Mary Ellison and John Ellison. Besides his parents and wife, Bower is preceded in death by two brothers: O. Jay Heaster and John Heaster, and a sister Grace Morder. Friends may call from 11 AM until 12 PM Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel, 415 Robbins Ave. Niles, OH 44446
