BRUCE EDWARD BEQUEATH Bruce Edward Bequeath of Vienna, Ohio, died at 1:40 AM Monday (3-28-05) at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. He was 82. Mr. Bequeath was born in Austintown, Ohio on August 14, 1922, a son of Marshall and Mary Martha (Decker) Bequeath. He served our country in the U.S. Army 112th Armored Engineers during WWII’s European Theater as a Corporal. Bruce retired in 1985 as the former Chief of Police in Vienna Township after 15 years of service. He was also previously employed as a Deputy Sheriff of Trumbull County. His memberships included: Vienna Presbyterian Church where he was past Treasurer past President of Vienna Kiwanis; Life member of the Public Employees Retire, Inc. (PERI) & current president of Trumbull County PERI Chapter 56; Life member of the Vienna VFW; Charter member& past Treasurer of the Copper Penny Lodge, Vienna; Youngstown Scottish Rite & Cleveland Shriners. He was a community leader & volunteer. Bruce also created, organized & managed the Vienna Ecumenical Food Bank for 16 years with his wife Grayce. Survivors include: wife, Grayce Kingsley, whom he married 8-15-43; 3 sons, James Bequeath & his wife Jan, Atlanta, GA, Jon Bequeath, Atlanta, GA, & Joel Bequeath & his wife Carol, Manchester, NH; 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by: her parents; 3 brothers, Aldon, Grant & Robert Bequeath; and a sister, Ruby Johnson. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Paul Johnston, Pastor. Calling hours will be from 7-9 PM Friday. Burial will be in Vienna Twp.
