Carl Benjamin Higham

There are no services or calling hours for Carl B. Higham of Columbiana and formerly of Canfield who passed away on Sunday at Parkside Health Center in Columbiana. Carl was born September 24, 1918 in Youngstown, the son of Benjamin and Mollie (Restle) Higham. A WWII Navy Veteran, Carl was a Sales Supervisor for Ward Baking Company and had also worked for the Canfield School System in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Canfield and often attended daily mass at St. Paul’s Monastery. Carl was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 274 in Youngstown, and was the Past President of the American Legion Post in Canfield. Besides his wife, the former Martha Harrington whom he married December 28, 1940, Carl leaves two children: John (Thelma) Higham of State College, PA and Marsha (William) O’Hara of Columbiana. He also leaves a sister Mary Higham of Youngstown and three brothers: William Higham of Newark, OH, Robert (Oneita) Higham of Pittsburgh, PA, and Richard (Eleanor) Higham of Youngstown. Carl also leaves four grandchildren: Karlene (Al) Adam, Kelly O’Hara, Kathleen (Michael) O’Hara Adams, and Keri Lyn (Vincent) Pantloni as well as three great-grandchildren: Carolyne Pantloni, Patrick Pantloni, and Timothy Adam. He was preceded in death by a sister Virginia LaMar and two brothers: Benjamin and John Higham.
