Carl Piowarsy

There will be funeral services 10 AM Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mineral Ridge for Carl Piowarsy of Mineral Ridge who passed away Saturday evening at St. Joseph Medical Center. Carl was born December 29 in Mineral Ridge a son of the late Anthony and Frances (Kass) Piowarsy, and was a life long resident of Mineral Ridge. He was a self employed farmer and mechanic, a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Girard. He is survived by his wife the former Sophie M. Habinak whom he married on July 29, 1978, and one sister Mary Metts of Glendale, CA Carl is preceded in death by his first wife Viola Backer Piowarsy whom he married in 1948 and passed away in 1976; one sister Ann Toporcer, and two brothers Anthony “Tony” and John Piowarsy. Material contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel from 5-7 PM Tuesday evening.
