Carmella J. Buck (Nagy), 73, of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, and Lake Worth, Florida, passed away March 30 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 9, 1937, in Sharon, PA, a daughter of Anthony and Catherine Vitale. Carmella worked as a legal secretary and office manager in the Youngstown and Akron areas for 40 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Mineral Ridge. Carmella is survived by her devoted husband, Richard, whom she married May 16, 1992; her daughters, Lisa Baker (Rick), of Liberty Township; and, Jan Wagner (David) of Columbus; her stepchildren: Traci Peters (Ken) of Uniontown; Kevin Buck (Marycarol) of Wadsworth; David Buck (Christie) of Parker, CO; John Buck (Becky) of Akron, Ohio; Patrick Buck (Gayle) of Bloomington, IN; and Joel Buck (Mandy) of Greensboro, NC; her sister, Toni Campana Lackey; 16 grandchildren and one great grandson. Being the special person that Carmella was, and consistent with her giving spirit, at her request her body has been donated to the University of Miami Medical School so that others may benefit. A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Mineral Ridge, Ohio on Saturday April 9, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel, on Friday April 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 or to the American Cancer Society.
