Carmen Gatrell Lustritz

Lake Milton- Carmen Gatrell Lustritz, age 89, passed away Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
Carmen was born October 18, 1930 in Deep Valley, West Virginia the oldest daughter of Wilbur and Lorena (Duty) Gatrell.
Carmen was a little girl when her family moved to Berlin Center, Ohio. She will be remembered for having the absolute cleanest house and her yard always looked impeccable. She was always fashionably dressed and enjoyed shopping for her wardrobe. She enjoyed her neighbors and kept a keen eye on her neighborhood. She was an accomplished cook and baker; she made the best Rum Cake, Anbrosia Salad, and the most delicious stuffed cabbage!
Carmen retired in 1990 from Packard Electric as a harness maker for over 28 years. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, playing bingo, and playing the slot machines.
Her family was paramount in her life, she doted on her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed the times she spent with her nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Lustritz; her son, T. Wayne Lustritz, her sister Betty, her brothers Raymond, Denver, Russell, and Daris.
Carmen is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Jim) McKnight, her grandchildren, Melanie (Gabe) Wanchick and Jim (Daphne) McKnight, her beloved great-grandchildren Kesston and Ellie Wanchick; her brother Randall Gatrell, sister-in-law Darlene (Delbert) Mix; and several nieces and nephews, and good friends.
Funeral services will be private, Interment will be in Hartzell Cemetery.
