A memorial service will be held at 11AM Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Downtown Youngstown for Carol Mentzer, 59, of Youngstown who passed away early Tuesday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center Main Campus. Carol was born July 19, 1950 in Carlisle, PA the daughter of Glenn and Mary Jane (Dunkleberger) Mentzer. She was a member of the church and its choir and bible study group. She was also a member of DARE, and volunteered with the St. Vincent DePaul in downtown Youngstown. She was a graduate of Jackson Milton High School and was in the Army Reserves. Carol leaves her mother of North Jackson, three children; Kristen and Matt Etherly of North Jackson and Ashley Etherly of Youngstown, two grandchildren; Kamren and Brayla Butler both of Youngstown, as well as two brothers; Gene (Debora) Mentzer of Crooksville and Dennis Mentzer of North Jackson. Carol is preceded in death by her father and one brother Timothy Mentzer. Family and friends may call from 10 AM until the time of services at the church on Monday. Arrangements were by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
