Carol F. Connors

Austintown- Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Carol F. Connors of Austintown who passed away Thursday morning at her home. Carol was born March 22,1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of Elmer W. & Willa (Main) Birkholtz. She most recently worked in the office for Dr. Raymond Duffett until her retirement in 1998. Prior to that she worked Strouss’ Department Store in Austintown 1978 to 1987, and McKenzie Muffler in the office for 5 years. Carol was a member of Mahoning United Methodist Church, The Ladies Oriental Shrine, Austintown AARP, Eastern-Star Meander Chapter 583 and the VFW post 4237 Auxiliary, and the Austintown Republican Women’s Club. She was also an election board worker as well as a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Her husband Thomas M. Connors whom she married March 4, 1949 passed away March 13,1978. Carol is survived by two children JoAnne (Carl) Jordan and Thomas M., Jr. both of Austintown, five grandchildren, Brian Shina, Michael, Kevin, and Greg Connors and C.J. Jordan and three great-grandchildren. Besides her husband a brother precedes Carol in death. Friends and Family may call from 6 to 9 PM Friday and 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
