Caroline Elizabeth Jara

Caroline E. Jara, 78, formerly of Brookfield, died Friday December 9, 2016 at 3:10 am, at O'Brien Memorial Health Center in Masury. Caroline was born on January 26, 1938 in Sharon, PA., a daughter of the late Frank M. and Elizabeth (Zielke) Godfrey. Caroline was a proud member of Hubbard Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. She was an Avon representative who won many awards for her outstanding customer service in sales. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, and even sewed her daughter's wedding gown. She leaves behind four daughters; Laurie (Dale) Smith, of Union City, PA., Muriel (Ron) Goodemote, of New Bedford, PA., Lisa Jara Judson, of Michigan, and Bethany (Todd) Brown, of Kent, OH., nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, and one sister Naomi (Jack) Kay, of Brookfield, OH. Caroline was preceded in death by a son, Garth W. Jara, and her husband, the love of her life, the late Gary James Jara. They were married on March 4, 1954, Gary died on January 24, 2016, after 61 years of marriage. A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 3:30pm at Hubbard Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 278 Jacobs Rd, Hubbard, OH., with Minister Michael Richards officiating the service. Family and friends may call one hour prior to the services. Care was entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel.
