July 24, 1912 — July 7, 2014

Carrie C. Hoover age 101, passed away early Monday morning July 7, 2014 at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born on July 24, 1912 in St. Lawrence, PA the daughter of Walter and Cecelia (Kibler) Kutruff. She enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the United States, bus trips and cooking. Carrie was a member of the former Christ Our King Church in Warren. Mrs. Hoover leaves behind her daughter-in-law Charlene Hoover of Warren; sister-in-law Uba Kutruff of Franklin, IN; and her brother Richard Kutruff of St. Lawrence, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard J. Hoover whom she married on September 6, 1932 and preceded her in 1965; her son James L. Hoover; her granddaughter Connie Lou Hoover; brother Robert Kutruff; three sisters Jean Davis, Aldine Cronauer, and Geraldine Hoover. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00PM on Thursday July 10, 2014 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Thomas Eisweirth as Pastor. Friends may call beginning at 10:00AM prior to the start of the Mass at the church. Burial will take place next to her husband at Oakwood Cemetery.
