Canfield- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Monday in St. Michael’s Catholic Church for Casper “Cass” Rach who died Thursday in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Cass was born December 28, 1927 in Diamond. Cass was the owner operator of the Skylark Restaurant in Canfield until his retirement in 1979. He was a 45 year member of Western Mahoning County Kiwanis (Canfield), Youngstown Saxon Club, and was a member of the Canfield Fire Department for 25 years. Cass enjoyed collecting antique cars. He is survived by his wife Frances Barberine Rach whom he married April 23, 1949, children Susan (Larry) Guillard, Jim (Korine) Rach, David (Brenda) Rach all of Canfield. He is also survived by brothers John Rach of Twinsburg, George Rach of Alliance and grandchildren; Stephanie, Heather, Casper, David, Katie, Ryan and Tyler. He was preceded in death by brothers Al, Joe, Tom and sisters Ann Ulrich, Helen Kagarise, Rose Ulrich and Mary Stabl. Family and friends may call from 6-9 pm Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel. The family requests material tributes take the form of donations to the Canfield Joint Fire District.
