Catherine Francis Manus Daniels

Youngstown- Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Catherine F. Daniels, age 80 of Briarfield Manor, formerly of Youngstown who died early Monday morning at Briarfield Manor. Catherine was born Nov. 27, 1924 in Youngstown and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Carmel (Alberti) Duponty. She was a homemaker and had worked at Truscon Steel during WWII and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness-South Congregation. Her husband Everett H. Daniels whom she married in 1957 died in January of 1980. She is survived by a daughter Rosemary Gleydura of Cleveland, a son William S. (Judith) Manus, Jr. of Canfield, four grandchildren; Marc Manus of Los Angles, Christopher Manus of Canfield, Michael J. Gleydura of Bay Village, Diane R. Zavcer of Brunswick and one great granddaughter Kallie Rue Gleydura. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Janice Day Manus, four sisters; Anna Pasquale, Mary, Mildred and Elizabeth Duponty and five brothers James, Frank, Joe, Carl and Tony Duponty. Catherine was the youngest of ten children. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Wed at the funeral home.
