Chad Wray Holley, 26, of Warren, passed away Thursday September 5, 2013 at St. Joseph's Health Center in Warren. Chad was born December 5, 1986 in Windsor, OH, son of Mark Holley and Vickie Caraway Holley. He was a 2005 graduate of the Howland High School, where he lettered in track, cross country and swimming, and also excelled in academics. Chad was a proud US Army Veteran who completed his basic training and advanced infantry training at Ft. Benning, before transferring to Ft. Bragg for 82nd Airborne and Paratrooper training. He served 15 months during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan with the 1- 508 B Company in the Parachute Infantry Regiment, where he attained the rank of Specialist and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. Chad is survived by his daughter, Alannah "Claire Bear" Holley; parents, Mark Holley and Vickie Caraway Holley; sister, Cynthia James Holley; maternal grandparents, Wray and Virginia Caraway; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Elinor Holley and several aunts, uncles and numerous other family and friends. A funeral will be held 2 PM Sunday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. Warren, OH 44483. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 2:00 PM Sunday. A private interment will be held at the National Cemetery in Rittman, OH at a later date.
