Charlene Ann Hofus

Charlene Ann Hofus, 73, of Youngstown, passed away peacefully, Aug. 15, 2013 at Hospice House. She was born April 2, 1940, in Youngstown the daughter of Charles and Roseanne Pollard. Charlene was a member of St. Mary's Church, a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her five children. She loved cooking, baking and canning but the especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her five children; Denise (Dain) Bancroft, of Youngstown, Christine Weimer, of Austintown, Richard (Kristine) Hofus, of Canfield, Kerstin (Joseph) Fields, of Mineral Ridge, Matthew (Diane) Hofus, of Austintown, three sisters; Kathryn Hanni, of Austintown, Rose Marie (Dennis) Murphy, of Canfield, Jackie Bainbridge, of Boardman and ten grandchildren. Besides her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her brother Charles Morgan. Friends will be received from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel and again from 8:30am-9:00am at the Austintown Chapel with closing prayers beginning at 9:00am. Funeral services will be held 9:30am, Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 at St. Mary's Church in Mineral Ridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice House.
