Charles E. Weimer

Canfield- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Charles Weimer who died Monday morning at the Hospice House. Chas was born January 15, 1930 in Niles, the son of Fred and Thara Weimer. Chas retired in 1992 after 37 years from Ohio Bell where he had been a lineman and repair man. He graduated from Niles McKinley High School then served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gail Anderson Weimer whom he married July 14, 1951, daughters; Barbara (David) Bernath of Chicago, Sherry Grimm of Columbus and Lori (Ken) Mikicic of Austintown. Chas is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sisters; Mildred Blum of Niles, Maxine Gwinnup and brother John both in California. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home
