Charles Franklin Felton

Austintown- Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 AM Sat. in Immaculate Conception Church for Charles F. Felton age 89 of 2660 S. Canfield-Niles Rd. who died Tuesday evening at his home. Charles was born Aug. 9, 1915 in Youngstown and was the son of Erwin Samuel and Jane (Littlewood) Felton. He retired from U.S. Steel-McDonald Works where he had been a supervisor and foreman. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, was a member of the Knights of Columbus #274 where he had been Past Grand Knight, a graduate of Science Hill School and had served in the Army during WWII. Charles is survived by seven children, Charles (Terri) Felton of Kerrville, TX, Mary Jane Hoffman of Limon, Colorado, Catherine Richards of Youngstown, Loretta (Dr. Ernie) Lewandowski of Venice, FL, Louise (John) Maro of Lowellville, Michael (Terry) Felton of Youngstown, Ruth (Joe) Skripac of Gilbert, AZ, 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (O’Neil) Felton whom he married Sept. 5, 1936 and died May 28, 1995, a son William Felton, grandsons James and Michael Thurston and three sisters Pearl Peterson, Eleanor Harris, and Ethel Fetcho. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel from 4-7 PM Friday.
