Charles J. Garvin, 72 of Warren, died Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 10:39AM at his home. Chuck was born July 15, 1933 in Warren, the son of Charles J. Garvin Sr. and Helen Crawford Garvin. A life long resident of this area, he attended Warren G. Harding High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington. He worked for a short time for Boeing in Seattle, WA as a tow motor driver and also at Brainard Steel for 7 years until its closing. Mr. Garvin retired from Copperweld Steel Co. in 1996 after 38 years of service where he worked in the cold draw department. A member of St. Pius X Church, he loved working in the yard, helping relatives and friends, loved to play jokes, enjoyed some traveling and would help anyone in need at any time. Survivors include his wife Susan L. Jurich Garvin whom he married July 23, 1955, his sister Mrs. Ben(Dolores) Hudak, brother, John T.(Jennie) Garvin, seven nephews, Dan, David, Gary, Lyle, Jim, Tom, and Derek, 14 great nephews and three great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jean Garvin, and brother-in-law, Ben Hudak. Calling hours will be held Monday, January 30, 2006 at the Roberts-Clark Chapel from 5 to 7 PM and also Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at the St. Pius X Church from 10 to 10:30AM. Rev. William Loveless will conduct a funeral Mass Tuesday, at 10:30AM at the St. Pius X Church. Burial will be held in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna Twp. Donations may be made to Hospice at 8747 Squires Lane Warren, OH 44484 or to the Bereavement committee at St. Pius X Church at 1401 Moncrest Warren, OH 44485
