Charles Gillam

Services will be held at 7 PM Tuesday May 19, 2015, at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, for Charles Gillam, 46, of Boardman Twp., who passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, from complications of Huntington's disease, at Beeghly Oaks Care Center. Charles was born January 13, 1969 in Youngstown the son of the late Allen and June Marie (Billett) Gillam. He worked at General Extrusion as a laborer. He was never married. Charles enjoyed music and was an avid sports fanatic; a lifetime, diehard fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Indians. He especially enjoyed quality time with his family and looked forward to his trips to the Dairy Queen followed by drives around Mill Creek Park. Charles leaves one brother; Donald Van Meter of Marysville, one sister Kimberly Fussnecker of Youngstown, his Aunt Lola Nagel of Yougstown, who cared and visited him regularly at Beeghly Oaks, as well as 10 nieces and nephews; Ashley Fussnecker, Ashley (Carlos) Blick-Ortega, Kristen Van Meter, Paige Ricciardi, Donald Van Meter, Christian Billett, Trisha Van Meter, Allie Benisten, Gavin Benisten, and Landon Gillam, and several great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Charles is preceded in death by one brother, Richard Gillam, and one niece, Gia Ricciardi. Family and friends may call from 6 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home where services will be held at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Huntington's disease research in Chuck's name
