Charles H. Zimmerman

Berlin Center- Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in North Jackson for Chuck Zimmerman of Berlin Center who died Monday afternoon from injuries from an industrial accident. Charles was born July 15, 1955 in Salem the son of Charles and Dorothy Howard Zimmerman. Chuck was Supervisor of Product Operations for D&L Energy Inc of Youngstown and also owned and operated Big Willow Dairy Farm in Berlin Center. He was a member and usher of the church and a 1973 graduate of Western Reserve High School. Besides his family Chuck loved his dogs, cows and horses. He is survived by his parents of Berlin Center, his wife Joanna (Winters) Zimmerman whom he married in 1972.He leaves nine children; Angela Bowman of Greenford, Monica Smith, Shannon Zimmerman both of North Jackson, Lindsay Zimmerman at home, Candis Leggett of Montville OH., Sgt. Charles H. Zimmerman Jr. with the U.S. Marines in Afghanistan, Jessica Zimmerman, Clayton Zimmerman and Katie Zimmerman all at home. He leaves sisters; Dolly Bennett of Berlin Center, Carolyn Yeager of Sunbury PA., Marge Richards of Diamond, brother Donald Zimmerman of Canfield and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters Marie Metts, Barbara Jane Zimmerman and Mary Lou Zimmerman. Family and friends may call from 4-8 pm Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and from 10-11 am Monday at the church. The family requests that Memorial Contributions take the form of donations to Gethsemane Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
