Warren-Charles Lewis, 88, past away Saturday in Warren. The son of Emory and Edith Lewis, Charles was born in Champion OH July 26 1923. On September 3, 1941 he married Crissiena Standley with whom he spent 70 wonderful years of marriage. A graduate of Johnston High School, Charles joined the Navy shortly afterwards and served his country during World War 2. Upon his return from the war he began working for Copperweld in the steel mill. Charles also served as the fire chief in Johnston for a time and spent one year as a trustee. Charles is survived by his wife Crissiena, one son Gerald Lewis, two granddaughters, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
