Services will be Tuesday at 1 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Charles Raymond McCarty, 92, of North Jackson who passed away Friday night in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Charles was born January 18, 1914 in Dellroy, Ohio, the son of Wilbur and Sylvia (Moreland) McCarty. He retired in 1977 from the maintenance department of Jackson - Milton Schools. He was a member of First Federated Church in North Jackson, a former member of the Keenagers, and a former member of the Knights of Pythius. Charles was an Army veteran serving in WWII. His wife the former Ruth Marshall, whom he married May 18, 1946, passed away June 8, 2000. Charles leaves two daughters: Hope (Robert) Senffner of Concord, NC, and Faith McCarty of North Jackson, five sisters Mae Gaines and Lucille Albaugh both of Dellroy, Bessie Wess, Ada Buxton, and Ruth Bowers all of Canton, two brothers; William Carl McCarty of Canton and Ernest John McCarty of Massillon, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents, Charles is preceded in death by two sisters; Helen Hoffee and Bernice McCarty. Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 pm Monday and from noon until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home
