Charles Walp

Charles I. Walp, 102 Private services were held Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Charles I. Walp, 102 of Assumption Village, formerly of Canfield. Charles was born August 18, 1908 in Youngstown, the youngest of eight children to Charles and Emma Fortney Walp. He had worked at U.S. Steel, McDonald works for many years. His wife, the former Louise Grainger, died April 21, 1948. He leaves 2 daughters, Gail Chieffo of Girard, Janice Ravotti of North Lima, Richard (Norma) Walp of Phoenix, Arizona; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.. Besides his parents and wife, Charles was preceded in death by a daughter, Gloria J. Lindner, a son, Charles Walp, 1 great granddaughter, Bobbi Jo Whiteman and his brothers and sisters
