NILES-Chester H. Terry Jr., 62, of Robbins Ave in Niles, passed away at 8:05 AM Saturday, December 2, 2006 in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Medical Center Austintown Campus. Chester was born November 17, 1944 in Rosemont, Ohio and was the son of Chester H. and Marion (Cowen) Terry Sr. and lived in the area all of his life. Chester was a 1964 graduate of Jackson Milton High School and was currently a truck driver for First Choice Trucking. Chester was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Mason’s of North Jackson and the VFW Post of Mineral Ridge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Chester was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam in the 4th Infantry Signal Battalion. In Vietnam, Chester received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal and was honorably discharged on May 31, 1967. Chester is survived by his mother Marion (Cowen) Terry of North Jackson, two sons Brent of Diamond, and Brian (Susan) of Ellsworth; two brothers Lawrence of Cortland, and Tim of Columbus; his companion Lisa Bennett of Niles; and her children Jessica Bennett of Niles and Jonathan Bennett of Girard; and grandsons Christian and Nathan Terry of Ellsworth. Chester was preceded in death by his father; two sons Brandon and Bradley Terry; and his grandparents. Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service in the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in the funeral home. Inurnment of cremains will take place in Eckes Cemetery in Milton Township with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Boy Scouts of America Pack 32. Caring and Professional arrangements were entrusted to the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
