Chris O. Paparodis

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Lane Funeral Canfield Chapel for Chris O. Paparodis of Canfield who passed away on Wednesday morning at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. Chris was born September 29, 1927 in Salem, the son of Chris and Mary (Rawling) Paparodis and was a 1945 graduate of Salem High School. An Army Air Corps Veteran, Chris graduated from Ohio University in 1951 and was the owner operator of the Hotel Metzger in Salem. He started at the Brokerage Firm of Singer, Dean, and Scribner in 1960 and was the City Manager for the City of Canfield from 1974 to 1976. He was currently a Financial Advisor for Lincoln Financial Advisors. Chris was a member of the Civil Service Commission in Canfield, and a 32nd degree Mason. Besides his wife, the former Barbara Wisniewski, whom he married in 1974, Chris leaves four children: Chris (Linda) Paparodis of Columbus, OH, Sophia Paparodis of Cincinnati, OH, Theodore (Beth) Paparodis of Cincinnati, and Phillip Paparodis of Washington, DC. He also leaves a sister Victoria (Spiro) Nellas of Beaver Falls, PA and five grandchildren: Nicole, Mary, Beth, Teddy, and Gina. Friends and family may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday and from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday, one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
