Cinda L. Garland

Mineral Ridge: Cinda L. Garland, age 71, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center, Warren, Ohio. Cinda was born in Youngstown on October 21, 1942 to parents; Donald and Virgilia (Brown) Garland. Cinda graduated high school from Mineral Ridge, she went on for her bachelor degree at Kent State, and earned a Master Degree from Youngstown State in Counseling. Cinda worked at Warren General Hospital as a Pharmacy Technician, then went on to Turning Point Counseling Center as a Counselor, retiring in 2013. Cinda loved gardening and bird watching, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Her love of her life was her dog, Mick. She is survived by her loving niece, with whom she was very close with; Judy (Edward) Rogers, Sharon, PA., two great nieces, which she adored; Ashtyn and Lexi Rogers, sister; Karen (Elmer) Mensurati, Sharon, PA., brother; Donald (Kathy) Garland, Liberty, and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of great friends. Cinda is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel from 11:00am-12:00pm. A memorial service will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Kerr Cemetery.
