Clara Alice Meade

Niles- Friends may call from 5-7 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home-Mineral Ridge Chapel for Clara Alice Meade, age 76 of 1123 North Rd. who died Friday morning at her home. Clara was born July 3, 1931 in Carter County, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Coralee (Blankenship) Hicks. She was a homemaker and had worked from 1950-1967 at Handy Andy’s Restaurant where she had been a cook. Her husband, Joe Walter Meade whom she married Oct. 23, 1948 died June 16, 2000. She is survived by five children, Jessie (Richard) Hedrick of Warren, James W. Meade of Niles, William E. (Carol) Meade of Lordstown, Franklin D. (Colleen) Meade and Anita L. Maxwell both of Niles. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, John Hicks, four half brothers and five half sisters. Private interment services will be held at a later date at Kerr Cemetery. The family requests that material contributions be made to Forum Health Hospice, 8747 Squires Lane, Warren, OH 44484
