Clara Elnore Jewell

Services will 11 AM Monday at Canfield Christian Church for Clara Elnore Jewell, 85, of Canfield who passed away Thursday in Forum Health Northside Medical Center. Clara was born March 28, 1922 in Scottdale, PA the daughter of John and Lillian (Sinkula) Borecky. She was a member of the church were she was also a Deaconess. Clara worked for Boulevard Flowers for 20 years as a designer. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4192, RSVP Volunteers, the RSVP Clowns, the Salem and Columbiana Senior Citizens the Salem Retirees, AARP, and the Columbiana Christian Women. Clara also volunteered at Operation Blessing once a month, was part of the Polka Dot Band, and with the Columbiana Fancy Walkers and was a clown named “Pansy”. Her husband John Jewell whom she married March 25, 1946, passed away in September of 1993. Clara leaves a son John Douglass Jewell of Ohio, four grandchildren Misty Jewell, Jamie Shaffer, Brian Shaffer, and Jonny Jewell, seven great grandchildren and one son-in-law; Joe Kelley of Columbiana. Besides her husband, Clara is preceded in death by two daughters Mona L. Kelley and Marsha “Misty” Jewell. Family and friends may call from 1 to 4PM Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel.
