Newton Falls-Services celebrating the life of Clarabell Sinn will be held at 11 am Monday at the First Federated Church in North Jackson. Clarabell died Thursday morning at her residence. She was born August 15, 1922 in Newton Falls the daughter of Ross and Grace (Archer) Clark. Clarabell had formerly lived in Austintown for most of her life.
She graduated in 1940 from Apollo High School in Apollo, Pa. Clarabell retired in 1985 from General Electric Trumbull Plant in Warren where she had worked for over 35 years. She was very active until recent years in the life of the church, serving as an Elder and Church Council President.
Clarabell was a member of That Quilt Group That I Belong To, Lunch Bunch Group, Pythian Sisters of North Jackson, the Embroidery Guild and the former Keenagers of the church. She loved to do needlework and quilt afghans winning many blue ribbons at the Canfield Fair. She loved to play cards, joining any card game she could find.
On November11, 1941 she married Delbert Sinn who passed away October 22, 1983. Together they had three children; Dennis (Cindy) Sinn of Lillian, AL, Joan Sinn of Niles and Judy (Pat) Riggs of Newton Falls. She also leaves five grandchildren; David (Patti) Sinn, Kristine (Mike) Wilson, DeAnn (Chad) Rowbotham, Heather (Rich) Swincicki, Melissa (Shawn) Rentz and thirteen great grandchildren.
Clarabell was one of thirteen children. She is survived by sisters, Veda Heckman of Elderton, PA., Wanda Ervin of Johnsboro, AK. and McKinley Clark of Shelocta, PA.
Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Sunday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and one hour prior to services Monday morning at the church (10-11am).
The Sinn family would like to thank Clarabell's care giver Tina Henderson and Hospice of the Valley. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley
