Clarence L Hockenberry Jr

Clarence "Huck" L. Hockenberry, Jr., 71, of Warren died suddenly Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00 am very unexpectedly at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Clarence was born on June 8, 1944, in New Kensington, PA, a son of the late Clarence L. and Martha (Wallace) Hockenberry, Sr. He attended Plum Borough High School. Before graduation, Clarence enlisted in the United States Navy. He and his family moved to Warren in 1969, working for Mahoning Valley Steel until they closed and then at T-Bruce Campbell for a total of 28 years, until his retirement in May 2012. In his free time, Clarence enjoyed taking fishing trips, camping with his family, hiking with his wife and golfing. He sang for three and a half years with the Penn-Ohio Singers barbershop group. Clarence's most precious memories were created with his wife, children and grandchildren who will miss him dearly. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Lois (Lipp) Hockenberry who he married on November 23, 1964. Clarence is also survived by his children: Philip Hockenberry of Columbus, Holly Hockenberry of Cleveland, Marsha (Scott) Miller of Pittsburgh, eight grandchildren: Robert, Rachel (Cory) Kruse, Emily, Andrew, Morgan, Abigail, Tyler, Madison and two great-grandsons; his siblings, Carol Remaley of Tarentum, PA; Charlie (Joan) Hockenberry of Washington, PA; Dean Hockenberry of Pasadena, MD; Eugene (Karen) Hockenberry and Clayton (Tracy) Hockenberry both of Tarentum, PA. Besides his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Hockenberry and a sister, Patricia Ross. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel 180 Garfield Dr. N.E., Warren, OH 44484. Family and friends may call Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 5pm to 8 pm and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at All Souls Cemetery.
