Services will be held 10 am Monday at First Free Will Baptist Church of Austintown for Clarence Martin “Bud” Simpson, 80, of Austintown who passed away Wednesday in Briarfield Manor Care Center. Clarence was born May 13, 1925 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Clyde and Lilly (Holler) Simpson. He retired as a Supervisor with General Motors after 32 years of service. Clarence was a Navy veteran of WWII, member of the church, the Shriners, and was very involved in the Argus Golf League. He was an avid golfer and bowler, but more than anything, Clarence enjoyed the time spent with grandchildren. He leaves his wife the former Mary Elizabeth Stewart whom he married June 14 1957, two daughters; Terry Lee (Russ) Herold of Independence MO, and Penny (Richard) Huzicko of Delmont PA., two sons; Kelly of Hudson WI. , and Chad of Austintown. Clarence also leaves one sister; Marie Barnard of Lee’s Summit, MO., four brothers; Clyde and Robert both of Independence, MO., Bill of Hemet CA., and Richard of Tampa FL., as well as eight grandchildren Shannon, Braeson, Shauna, Derek, Ashley, Alyssa, Brett, and Cameron, one great granddaughter Madison and his faithful companion Cody. Besides his parents Clarence is preceded in death by three brothers; Oliver, Kenneth, and Jack. Family and friends may call from 1 to 4 pm Sunday at the Lane Funeral Home and again from 9:30 until the time of services in the church on Monday.
