Clarence Roberts, Jr.

CORTLAND- Clarence Roberts, Jr., 88, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at his home. He was born on March 26, 1926 in Huntington, West Virginia son of the late Clarence Roberts, Sr. and Stella Mae Bates. Clarence retired from Copperweld Steel Company in 1986. He was a member of the Penn-Ohio "A" Ford Club Inc. for 28 years and the United Steel Workers #2243. Clarence is survived by his son, Larry (Adah) Roberts of Cortland; 5 grandchildren, Wendy Faller, Julie (Jeff) Carbone, Jane (Alex) Geordan, Tawnya Roberts, David (Andrea) Roberts; 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Margie M. (Plybon) Roberts on May 13, 2001; parents; son, Harry K. Roberts; 1 great granddaughter and 7 siblings. No calling hours or services will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer Winans Chapel in Cortland, Ohio.
