There are no services or calling hours for Claudia Ann Giovanni, 68, who died late Sunday night at her residence. She was born December 13, 1940 in Richmond, Va., a daughter of Harry and Della Ervin. She was a homemaker and was also former owner and operator of the Drop In Tavern in Schillings Mill. She was active in the American Legion Post 737 of Lake Milton, and she enjoyed writing poetry and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Claudia was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and she will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by three sons; John (Kathy) Giovanni of Oceanside, Ca.; Marco (Jeanenne) Giovanni of Lake Milton; and August (Delores) Giovanni of Ellsworth. She also leaves behind a brother; Joe (Joy) Ervin of Youngstown; nine grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and her best friend and caregiver, Linda Penno of Lordstown. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Kimberly, and her husband Brian Smith; a grandson Ramon Smith; and two sisters; Linda and Mickey Burchfield. Arrangements are being handled by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
