Cloyd Jerry Grimm Jr.

Cloyd Jerry Grimm Jr., 69, of Lordstown, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness. Born April 23, 1939 in Warren, He was the son of the late Cloyd and Edith (Montgomery) Grimm Sr. Cloyd was a 1957 graduate of Lordstown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired in 1996 from General Motors where he worked in the fab plant for 25 years. Cloyd was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing at Port Clinton, Ashtabula, the Florida Keys, and various small local lakes. He was a member of the Western Reserve Walleye Association, and also enjoyed hunting and woodworking. Cloyd was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Most notably, he was a devoted family man whom adored his wife, children, and grandchildren. As an organ recipient, Cloyd was an advocate and strong supporter of organ and tissue donation. He will be dearly missed by his wife Patricia (Shepherd) Grimm whom he married April 26, 1987, his two sons, Michael (Lisa) Grimm of Joppa, MD and Dale (Dianne) Grimm of Lordstown, stepchildren, Robert (Cynthia) Grayson of Akron, Charles Grayson of Lordstown, Jeff (Denise) Grayson of Chesapeake, VA, and Christine Terry and Brian (Melissa) Terry both of Warren, five grandchildren; Michelle, Nicole, Ashlee, Tanner, and Jacob, and by a stepbrother Lee (Judith) Wolf of Champion and stepsister, Ruth (Jack) Walters of Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 30, 2009 at 1PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel where family and friends will be received from 10AM until 1PM. Burial will be held in the Lordstown Village Cemetery.
