Clyde M. Catlin

AUSTINTOWN- Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Clyde M. Catlin age 82 of 4375 Kerrybrook Dr., Austintown who died early Monday morning at Northside Hospital. Clyde was born Jan. 21, 1920 in Youngstown and was the son of Arthur and Mable (Simon) Catlin. He retired from Conrail Railroad in 1981 where he had been a Yard Conductor. He was a member of Struthers United Methodist Church, served in the Army during WWII where he received the Purple Heart, loved model trains, liked to read and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Clyde is survived by his wife Margaret (Loftus) Catlin whom he married July 16, 1940. He also leaves two sons William Catlin of Lordstown, Robert Catlin of Austintown, a sister Elsie Freider of Keene, TX, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Hazel Maser and Ruth Striedl and a brother Roger Catlin. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Wed.
