Services will be 11 AM Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Clyde W. Donelson, 89, of Austintown who passed away Saturday evening in Humility House Care Center. Clyde was born March 14, 1919 in Nicholas Co., W. VA., the son of George C. and Rosa Ann (Butler) Donelson, and came to the area in 1940. He was a Machinist Inspector with United Engineering / Wean Manufacturing for 42 years retiring in 1982. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific Theatre. Clyde was a member of Mahoning United Methodist Church. Clyde was a former member of Argus Lodge F & AM #545, the VFW Post # 4237, and the Lake Milton American Legion Post. He was an avid sports fan, following the Browns, Buckeyes, and Tribe. His wife the former Evalena Ann Turner, whom he married February 25, 1939, passed away June 6, 1988. Clyde leaves two daughters; Phyllis (Pat) Pantone of Hubbard and Kelly (Mark) McKeown of Swansea, ILL. He also leaves four grandchildren; Joseph (Lori) Pantone of Hubbard, Jason McKeown and Joseph McKeown both of Swansea, ILL., and Patrisha (Mark) Stiegler of Austintown, as well as four great grandchildren; Joel, Jacob, and Ava Pantone of Hubbard and Breanna Evalena Stiegler of Austintown. Besides his wife and parents, Clyde is preceded in death by five brothers; Clem, Elmer, Albert, Carl and Dennis Donelson. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
