Cordell J. Hall

Cordell J. Hall of Niles passed away at 10:12PM Friday evening August 23, 2013, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital Youngstown, OH. He was eighty-two years old. He was born in Clarkrange, Tennessee on August 22, 1931 a son of Delbert and Frankie Jane (Ashburn) Hall. Mr. Hall worked at US Steel for more than thirty-two years before his retirement in 1982 in several positions including being a crane man as well as overseeing various steel production. Following his retirement he and his wife enjoyed traveling to garage sales, rummage sales, and taking trips to Tennessee. He also had enjoyed working on cars, planting a large garden annually, and had been avid fisherman. Cordell is survived by his wife of over fifty-eight years the former Juanita Hodge; two sons Clayton (Beverly) Hall and Jimmy (Kelly) Hall all of Niles, OH; two daughters Kathy (Chuck) Mitchell of Salem, OH, and Mary McClimans (Rick McElroy) of Austintown, OH; two brothers Orville (Virginia) Hall and Lloyd Hall both of Niles, OH; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and two-great-great-grandchildren also survive. Besides his parents, Cordell was preceded in death by his son Kenny Hall on May 11, 2010, his brother Aubra "Orbie" Hall, and three sisters Ina Orwig, Doris Evans, and Alma Jones. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday morning the Lane Family Funeral Homes Niles Chapel, 415 Robbins Avenue Niles, Ohio 44446. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday evening, August 27, 2013 from 5-7:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at the Niles City Cemetery.
