D. Catherine Workman

WARREN-Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel with the V. Rev. Fr. Daniel Rohan officiating for D. Catherine Workman of Cottage Pines Dr in Warren, who passed away at 4:07 AM Wednesday in Salem Community Hospital. Catherine was 74. Catherine was born on February 7, 1931 in Steubenville, Ohio and was the daughter of Charles and Eleanor (Crytzer) Gill Sr. Catherine was a 1949 graduate of Jefferson Union High School, where she was a majorette. Catherine retired in the 1990’s from Bob Evans after having worked for 16 years as a waitress and hostess. Catherine was a strong believer of God and she found comfort in her Lord and was a member St. Mark Antiochian Orthodox Church in Youngstown. Catherine belonged to her children’s Red Hat Tea Party Club. She loved tea parties, gardening, and was an excellent seamstress and crafter. Catherine loved to spend time at her son’s home “Everly’s Ranch”. Catherine lived for her children and grandchildren to the very end and will be sadly missed by them. Catherine is survived by her husband Edward L. Workman, whom she married on May 26, 1990; her children Gary (Linda) Everly of Amsterdam, OH, Larry (fiancée Lori Libb) Everly of Columbiana, Heidi (James) Everly-Sturgeon of Gilford Lake, Wendy (David) Everly-Byard of Gustavus, Brenda (Barry) Everly-Stearns of Columbiana, Tina Everly-Pilkington of Irvine, California; a step daughter Deborah Workman of Cleveland; a brother Samuel (Betty) Gill of Toronto, OH; two sisters Donna (Ronald) Ferguson of Steubenville, and Jacqueline (Howard Jr) Bowers of Bloomingdale, OH; sisters-in-laws Gloria Gill of Somerset, OH and the former Joyce Gill; grandchildren Jacques Everly, Terah (Jeremiah) Andrews, Fr. Joseph (Aron) Kuzemchak, Nicholaus (Lindsay) Kuzemchak, Kristi (Andrew) Stearns-Hughey, Stephanie, Jessica, Kimberly, Michael, Rebecca, Matthew Stearns, Catherine Pilkington, Samuel and Rachael Byard, Andrea (Luke) Ray, and Danielle Libb; great grandchildren JoAnna, Anna, and Mark Andrews, and Hayden Hughey; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Catherine will be sadly missed by her children’s father Clarence Everly. Besides her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by brothers Clifford Gill and Charles Gill Jr., and a granddaughter Jennifer Everly. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 27, 2006 from 5 until 9 PM in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Richmond Cemetery in Richmond, Ohio.
