D. Charles Cole

There will be funeral services at 10 AM Friday at Lane Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel for Charles Cole of Austintown who passed away Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Charles was born January 2, 1918 in Ashtabula, OH a son of the late David Hiles and Gertrude (Hildum) Cole. Charles was a retired Maintenance Foreman for US Steel Ohio Works retiring after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and enjoyed bowling and golfing. He is survived by four children: Elaine Worrell of Poland, Janet Grisdale of Canfield, David Cole Jr., and Kevin Cole both of Austintown; one sister Alice McClung of Pittsburgh; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Charles is preceded in death by his wife the former Chrystine Wecht whom he married August 18, 1939 and passed away on October 11, 1992; one sister Eleanor Davis; and two grandchildren. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel from 6-8 PM Thursday evening.
