Daris W. Gatrell

Daris W. Gatrell, age 76, passed away peacefully Friday morning, January 27th at Humility House. Daris was born July 3, 1940 in Deep Valley, West Virginia to the late Wilbert and Lorena (Duty) Gatrell. He was a 1958 graduate of Western-Reserve High School. Daris retired in 2000 from General Motors where he was an Electrician in the Lordstown Fab Plant. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Daris had a wonderful sense of humor, . He was a farmer at heart, he also enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets. Besides his parents, Daris is preceded in death by his first wife, the former Dorothy Klingeman; and his second wife, the former Arlene Parker; his sister Betty, and brothers Raymond and Denver. Daris is survived by his daughter Robin Gatrell, his son Brian (Renee) Gatrell, his grandson Jake Gatrell, his companion Judy Barbone, sister Carmen (Ted) Lustritz, brothers Russell (Ruth) Gatrell, and Randall Gatrell, and several nieces and nephews, and dear friends. At Daris's request, there will be no funeral services. Interment in Hartzell Cemetery next to his wife, Dorothy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church, 4626 S. Pricetown Rd. Berlin Center, Ohio 44401
