David Eugene Whorten

DAVID EUGENE WHORTEN age 64 Austintown- A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of David Whorten will be held at 11am Tuesday at St. Joseph Church 4545 New Rd. Austintown. David was born September 9, 1951 in Sharon, PA. the son of Elmer and Marie (Spohn) Whorten. David was a member of St. Joseph Church, and enjoyed woodworking, computers and golfing but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed as Chief Estimator for Ohio Structures in Canfield. David will be sadly missed by his wife, Patricia Jean (Gianoglio) whom he married July 15, 1978, his sons: Gabriel (Melissa), Vincent (Nicky) both of Austintown, David A. (Anna) of Poland and Paul (Elizabeth) of Kingsville. He will also be missed by his grandchildren: Luke, Mallory, Callista, Genevieve, Emelyn, Anna Maria, Henry, Ellie, Annabel and one grandchild on the way, brothers, Daniel of Hubbard, Larry of Farrell, PA. sisters, Karen Slovesko of Masury, Nancy Whorten of Youngstown, brother in laws, Bill Reiter of Hermitage, PA., Bobby Dorus of Brookfield and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Linda Reiter and Kathy Dorus. Family and friends may call from 9:30am until 11am Tuesday at the church prior to mass. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Vincent De Paul soup kitchen in David's memory.
