David Junior Osborn, 61, of Warren passed away Monday afternoon, May 17, 2010 at his home after an extended illness. Born January 28, 1949 in Buckhannon, WV, he was the son of Lida Junior and Vadis Geraldine (Carpenter) Osborn of Warren. David was a Warren area resident for most of his life and graduated from Warren G. Harding High School. He retired from General Motors in Lordstown where he worked in maintenance for 30 years. David was an accomplished Eagle Scout and obtained numerous high awards through scouting. He was a licensed pilot and loved to fly Cessna and other small planes. David owned his own plane and was a ground school instructor for more then 20 years. He enjoyed auto racing and watching the Sci Fi and Discovery channels. David is survived by his parents Lida and Vadis Osborn of Warren, two sons David Scott and Thomas Jeffrey Osborn both of Warren, two grandchildren James Osborn of FL and Chelsea Osborn of Boardman, and a sister Caron (Jon) Kovacs of Howland Twp. He was preceded in death by a son, William Junior Osborn as well as his paternal grandparents Robert and Gertrude Osborn and maternal grandparents Frank and Bessie Carpenter. Calling hours will be held Thursday evening from 5 until 7PM at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Brian Byrne will conduct a funeral service on Friday afternoon, May 21, 2010 at 3PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Crown Hill Burial Park.
