David Lawrence Hayslett, Sr., age 61 of Champion, Ohio, died at 3:02 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren after a sudden illness. He was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania on November 5, 1952, the son of the late Lawrence William and Mary Vargo Hayslett. Dave was a 1970 high school graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School in Andover. He also attended KSU. Dave was currently working as a Process Engineer for Sajar Plastics in Middlefield, Ohio. Some of his hobbies included fishing and camping with his grandsons. He also was interested in anything electronic, especially computers. He also was a part-time photographer and had his own business, Hayslett Photography. Dave was a member of the McKinley Community Church in Warren. He was also a discharged member of the National Guard. Survivors include his wife, the former Louise Tanner, whom he married on April 22, 1972; his sons, David L. (Mandy) Hayslett, Jr. of Champion, and Steven A. (Kelly) Hayslett of Chandler, Arizona; two grandsons, Jaden and Jace Hayslett; one brother, Dennis J. Hayslett of West Palm Beach, FL. Funeral services will be held at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM, where Pastor John H. Griffith will celebrate Dave's life. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 5-8 PM, Monday, July 7, 2014. Entombment will take place at the Pineview Memorial Park, Warren, Ohio.
