David Perkins

David Thomas Perkins was born May 18th, 1990 in Youngstown, Ohio and departed this life on Monday, October 28, 2013. Active in the community, David hosted seminars and mentored Youngstown City School teachers in the use of computer technologies for enhancing the classroom experience. For many years, David did volunteer work with the Liberty Township "Refuge", a faith-based facility serving the special needs of today's youth. After studies at Kent State University, David went on to complete advanced acting coursework at the New York Conservatory of the Arts, studying under the guidance of some of the country's most accomplished stage and screen actors. David held fast to his deep, life-long passion for the performing arts. Locally, he performed in several plays with the Trumbull New Theater, The Oakland Theater, The Rust Belt, and appeared in various Independent movies. A respected dancer, David taught Hip Hop style dancing at the Ballet Western Reserve, performed regularly in popular dance clubs and served as choreographer for Pymatuning Valley Schools' stage productions. David greatly enjoyed and thrived in the company of a very talented circle of friends who have significant accomplishments in music, photography, poetry, filmmaking and New Media. It can be said that David's cherished circle of artists and exceptional people will be well represented in a fresh, new wave of artistic expression. David is survived by his parents, Joseph and Dorinda Seese Perkins of Niles, his siblings, Crystal (Ed) Odum of Vienna, Aaron (Shannon) Perkins of Parma and John (Rickie) Perkins of Niles. He also leaves numerous aunts and uncles, two nieces and one nephew. Services will be held Tuesday November 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Niles Chapel, located at: 415 Robbins Ave. Niles, Ohio 44446. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
