David Todd Lesh

David Todd Lesh, age 46, of Champion Township went home to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, December 30, 2007 in Warren Township while deer hunting. He was born December 30, 1961 in Warren the son of Donald E. and Pauline J. (Sabau) Lesh, Sr. Dave was a self employed skilled carpenter for 20 years, until the slump in new housing. He had been an independent truck driver for two years, driving for Cross Trucking Company in South Bend, Ind. He was a member of St. Pius X Church. Dave was a 1980 graduate of Champion High School and was a member of the carpenter's union. He enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, digital photography, traveling, hunting and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed golf and billiards and played on a billiards team. Dave loved playing acoustic guitar, played bass in his teens and was an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians and Ohio State fan. He enjoyed canning, cooking and was known for his homemade jerkey and sausage. He is survived by his parents of Champion Twp.; his companion, Ann Ridge; one daughter, Natalie Pauline Susan Lesh at home; two stepsons, Brendon and Jack Ridge both at home; one sister, Melissa (Eric) Bowker of Howland; four brothers, Daniel of Cortland, Donald Jr. of Calif., Albert of Cape Cod, Mass. and Timothy (Margaret) Lesh of Grandy, NC. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Dave was proud of his Christian faith and totally gave his life to his Savior Jesus Christ. Arrangements are being handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday and a prayer service will be held at 3:45 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Pius X Church in Warren at 9:30 am Saturday, January 5, 2008 with Rev. William Loveless celebrating the mass. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland. Material contributions may be made to the Beatitude House or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
