David Wayne Brown

David Wayne Brown, 50, of Canfield passed away at his residence on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. He was born on December 2, 1964 to his parents Paul N. and Carolyn C. (Proverbs) Brown. David lived in the Canfield area for most of his life and he really loved people. He enjoyed talking to people, and really getting to know them. He will be missed by many, especially by his family. He also loved animals and he had a dog of his own, Kirby. David had a green thumb; he took great pride in his gardening. Anything that grows, from vegetables to flowers, he would grow it. In high school, he was a member of the football team and of the wrestling team at Canfield High School from which he graduated in 1983. The Browns and Steelers were his favorite sports teams, as well as the Cleveland Indians. He is survived by his parents, Paul and Carolyn, as well as his brother Kenneth (Patricia) Brown of Huntsville, Alabama, and sister Joyce Ann (Anthony) Alfano of Pickering, Ohio; nephews Anthony and Dominick Alfano, and niece Jessica Alfano. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Robert and Anna Proverbs, and Clarence and Alda Brown. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015 at Boardman Baptist Church, 1207 Shields Road, Youngstown, Ohio, 44511 where a service will then be held at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations of monetary value be made to the Boardman Baptist Church Building Fund in his name.
