Services celebrating the life of Debra Benchea will be held at 11am Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel. Debra died Saturday morning at her residence after a yearlong battle with cancer. Debra was born March 13, 1959 in Warren the daughter of Merle and Beverly (Knowlton) Collins. Debra graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1977. She was employed at Dental Works in the Eastwood Mall as the patient coordinator until her sickness forced her to not work. She was a member of McDonald First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and took care of the children in the nursery for 30 years. Debra was a former Girl Scout Leader for her daughters, she loved to bowl and do crafts especially with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, April and Jamie Fellows both of Mineral Ridge and her step daughter Brandy Griffin of Liberty. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and her brother Tom (Martie) Collins of Niles. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may call from 10am until time of services Thursday morning at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery.
