NILES-Delores Harcarik, 73, of 103 Barcelona Dr. in Niles and formerly of McDonald Ohio, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2006 at her home with her husband and children at her side. Doey was born on August 29, 1932 in Ironton, Ohio the daughter of Matthew and Mary Ann (Fortune) Killin. Doey was a 1951 graduate of McDonald High School. She was a book keeper for US Steel in McDonald and had also worked for JFK Kennedy High School in Warren. Doey was a member of the Woodland Park United Methodist Church in McDonald, where she was a past Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed roller skating, playing bingo, and playing games with her children and grandchildren. Doey was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all. Doey is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Robert E. Harcarik, whom she married on October 6, 1954 in Vienna, Ohio; a son Robert (Joyce) of Girard; two daughters Mary (Greg) Kenyon of Girard, and Anne (Donald) Petrilla of McDonald; two sisters Margaret Smith of Warren, and Eileen (Fred) Myers of McDonald; a half brother Earl Buchs of Long Beach, CA; seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Doey was preceded in death by two sisters Norma Jean McClain, and Rose Marie Cuthbertson, a grandson, and a granddaughter. Family will receive friends from 5 until 8 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2006 in the Lane Funeral Home Niles Chapel, 415 Robbins Ave, Niles, Ohio 44446. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 10:30 AM in Woodland Park United Methodist Church in McDonald with the Rev. David Hill officiating. Closing prayers will be offered at 10:00 AM Thursday prior to leaving for the services at the church. Interment will take place in Kerr Cemetery in Weathersfield Township. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Delores’s name to the American Diabetes Association.
