Deloris F Schlabaugh

Deloris F. Schlabaugh, age 86, of Austintown, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital in Warren. She was born on July 25, 1925, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Earl Miller and the late Ida Graham Miller. Deloris was a lifetime area resident and received much joy from raising and spending time with her family. She had worked as a switchboard operator for Ohio Bell in the early 1940's and retired from Answer Phone Inc. where she had worked for 20 years. She was a past member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church and was active in the Order of the Eastern Star (OES)- formerly Trias Chapter, now the Miriam Chapter. She was very active with the Mahoning County Chapter of the American Heart Association where she served as former President and Chairman. Deloris was active in the Mahoning County Republican Party, was Precinct Committee woman and ran the E. Ray Davis campaign in Austintown. She was a member of the Lake Milton Boat Club since 1953, was a member of the Woman's Auxiliary of the American legion in Austintown, was active with the Austintown Chapter of the AARP and was a member of "The Couples Club". Her husband, Earl L. Schlabaugh, whom she married on June 27, 1941, preceded her in death on August 21, 2007. She is survived by a son, Terry Schlabaugh of Austintown and by four daughters, Karen (Paul) Kotarski of Bazetta Twp., Debra (Gary) Bennett of Howland, Cindy (Mark) Albert of Cortland and Colleen (Alan) Rose of Howland. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Shannon Hentosh of Cortland, Dan (Tawnya) Morgan of Fowler, Brian, Scott and Kevin Albert of Cortland, Dustin, Jason and Tara Rose of Howland and Cassandra and Jonathan Bennett of Howland and by her eight great grandchildren, Ashley, Daniel, Taylor, Londyn, Kyler, Kaelyn, Kamber and DJ. Deloris was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Miller who was killed during WWII. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 4PM 6Pm at the Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr., Warren, OH 44483. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 6PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
