Dennis David Dickson

June 11, 1961 — February 8, 2014

Dennis David Dickson, 52 of Hartford, OH, a loving husband, proud father, devoted son and loyal brother passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Dennis was born June 11, 1961 to Mary Ann (Mizicko) and the late Don C. Dickson. He was a 1979 graduate of Brookfield High School where he excelled at varsity basketball. He attended Youngstown State University and studied to become an Emergency Medical Technician. He was in partnership with his brother as co-owner/operator of D&D Landscaping and Excavating Inc. of Brookfield, est. 1982 and actively working on the family farm. He was an avid supporter of Badger athletics as well as supporting extended family activities. In his free time, he relished water skiing, boating, fishing and hunting with family and friends. He was a yearly actor of the Boar's Head performance of the Orangeville United Methodist Church. He will be immensely missed by his wife of 22 years, Cynthia (Lyons) Dickson, his children Skye Lyons of St. Cloud, Florida, Devan, Dylan and Cheyanne all at home. His mother, Mary Ann Dickson of Brookfield, his siblings include Dawn (Robert) Thompson of Hubbard, Rick (Bonnie) Dickson, Daryl (Lisa) Dickson both of Brookfield and Traci (Jeff) Hill of Hubbard. He will also be sadly missed by his in-laws Joe and Peg Lyons of Sandy Lake, Candace Burnette of Stoneboro, Joe (Tracy) Lyons of Sandy Lake, Bill (Jacque) Lyons of Slippery Rock, his 14 nieces & nephews and 6 great neices & nephews, and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dennis was a friend to everyone, he was thoughtful, caring and generous. His big-hearted nature will be a loss to many. A memorial service will be held at 5:00PM on Tuesday February 11, 2014 at Grace Chapel Community Church, 4075 Lamor Road Hermitage, PA 16148 with Rev. Larry Haynes officiating. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Bager High School Athletic Department 7119 State Route 7 Kinsman, Ohio 44428. Arrangements will be handled by the Madasz Chapel of Lane Family Funeral Homes in Brookfield, OH.
