Dennis J Allen

Dennis J. Allen, 59 of Vienna passed away unexpectedly at his home 5:03 PM Tuesday Sept.28, 2010 from an apparent heart attack. He was born May 9, 1951 in Youngstown the son of Harry H. and Betty J. (Hawkins) Allen. Denny was a lifetime area resident and a 1969 graduate of Matthews High School. He was employed for 10 years by the Andover Foundry and more recently by Coronado Steel Corp. in Youngstown for the past 10 years. He also was the former owner -operator of The Hitching Post in Vienna. He was a member of the AMVETS Post in Vienna and was an avid golfer. He enjoyed NASCAR, and watching the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Denny was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother Randy Allen. He will be sadly missed by his son Shawn P. Allen of Howland, 2 sisters Sandy (John) Vadas of Bazetta, Nancy (Michael) McCarthy of Fowler, 3 brothers Richard "Rick" Allen of Vienna, Rusty (Sheila) Allen of Gresham, OR, Jeff Allen of Warren, sister-in-law Mary Allen of Jefferson, and 11 nieces and nephews. Services will be 3:30 PM Saturday Oct. 2, 2010 at Roberts Chapel where friends will be received from 5-8PM Friday and from 3:00 until service time on Saturday. His brother Rusty will officiate. Cremation will follow. The family requests that material contributions be made to the Warren Family Mission 361 Elm Rd. NE Warren, OH 44483.
